Travelling for surgery to Dubai or Bangalore

Dr Sanjog consults and operates in both cities, so you can start where you live and choose where to have surgery — with the same surgeon throughout. Patients come from across the UAE and India, and from the wider Gulf, the UK and Europe, East Africa and Southeast Asia.

Coming from somewhere else

Dubai or Bangalore — which to travel to

Both cities are Dr Sanjog's: the assessment, the operation and the follow-up plan are his either way. What differs is the journey, the length of stay and the cost, so most patients choose on those.

Dubai

Shorter trip, closer to home

Usually the simpler choice if you are in the GCC, or flying from East Africa, the UK or Europe — the flights are shorter and more frequent, and many patients already travel to the UAE.

  • Surgery at Cocoona Clinic and Dubai London Hospital
  • Care regulated by the Dubai Health Authority
  • Quoted in dirhams, at Dubai hospital rates
Bangalore

Longer stay, lower cost

Usually the choice if cost matters most, if you have family in India to recover with, or if you are already travelling there. It suits a planned trip rather than a quick one.

  • Surgery at Aesthetica Veda, Whitefield, Kalyan Nagar, Koramangala
  • Dr Sanjog operates in Bangalore on a monthly schedule, so dates are set in advance
  • India's e-Medical visa is designed for exactly this trip

Visa rules differ by nationality for both countries, and surgery dates in Bangalore follow Dr Sanjog's monthly schedule — so ask before you book flights. Tell Dr Sanjog where you would be flying from and he will say which city makes more sense for your case.

Questions from patients abroad

If your question isn't here, send it on WhatsApp.

Why expats return to Bengaluru for surgery

Can I have my consultation before I travel?

Yes. Most international patients start with photos on WhatsApp or the online photo consultation, followed by a video or voice call. This gives you an initial opinion, a proposed plan and an indicative quote before you book travel. Suitability is always confirmed in person before surgery.

Why do patients from the UAE travel to Bangalore?

Dr Sanjog operates in both cities to the same standard. Some patients choose Bangalore because costs there are considerably lower than in Dubai, others because they have family in India. Either way, the surgeon, the protocols and the approach to care are the same.

I'm not in the UAE or India — can I still come?

Yes. Patients travel from across the Gulf, the UK and Europe, East Africa and Southeast Asia, and the first question is usually which of the two cities to fly to. Dubai is normally the shorter trip; Bangalore costs less but needs a longer stay. Send your photos and say where you would be flying from, and Dr Sanjog will tell you which makes more sense for your case before you book anything.

How long should I stay after surgery?

It depends on the procedure. Liposuction alone typically needs a stay of about 5–7 days before flying; a tummy tuck or combined body contouring usually needs two to three weeks. Dr Sanjog assesses fitness to fly individually, and your stay is planned with you before booking.

Where does surgery take place in Dubai?

In Dubai, Dr Sanjog practises at Cocoona Clinic on Al Wasl Road, and his hospital is Dubai London Hospital on Jumeirah Beach Road. Where your own procedure takes place is confirmed at consultation.

What happens with follow-up after I fly home?

Follow-up continues remotely with photo and video check-ins at agreed milestones, and in person when you are next in Bangalore or Dubai. In Bangalore, Dr Sanjog's team of plastic surgeons at Aesthetica Veda supports recovery between his operating visits.
